People want to stay informed, but today's feeds are designed for distraction. Endless scrolling, algorithmic chaos, and clickbait optimization create noise instead of understanding. Users spend more time consuming content but learn less. The model is broken.
News consumption today is fragmented across platforms optimized for engagement rather than clarity.
The challenge: how do you deliver trusted, focused information in a way that respects people's time and attention?
Product Direction
Adee tackles this with AI-curated summaries from trusted long-form content, delivered in 3-6 minute sessions tailored to each user's interests. No endless scroll. No algorithmic noise. Just intentional reading.
Curation over volume
Fewer stories, but each one matters. Curation is visible—users see why something was selected and who wrote it.
Clarity in structure
Articles are organized into digestible sections: what it's about, why it matters, key takeaways. The interface gets out of the way.
Audio as a first-class experience
The player is integrated directly into the reading experience. Users can switch between reading and listening without friction.
Outcome & Reflection
Adee was a concept exploration testing whether AI-driven curation could prioritize clarity over engagement metrics. The work validated that AI can enhance focus instead of stealing it, and that designing for intentionality is viable even in a space dominated by engagement.
If taken further, the next phase would focus on measuring retention over time spent and comprehension over scroll depth—metrics that align with the product's core principles.
